Hi, we’re Erin and Tam! We’re two millennial moms who know what it feels like to get lost in the busyness of everyday life. Between work, family, and endless to-dos, it’s easy to forget what makes us feel alive. When we started picking up hobbies again—like baking, crafting, and trying new creative outlets—we noticed how much joy and balance it brought back into our lives. That spark inspired us to start The Art of Hobbyness Podcast, a space to remind other moms (and honestly, anyone) that making time for yourself matters.
Each week we talk about simple ways to reconnect with creativity and joy. Some episodes dive into questions like, “Has social media taken the fun out of hobbies?” or “How can sensory hobbies like painting or baking help calm an overwhelmed mind?” We share honest stories about mom life, like navigating the shift from working full-time to being at home, and we celebrate the fun of “hobby hopping”—trying new things without needing to be perfect. Our hope is that these conversations help you feel seen, spark new ideas, and encourage you to carve out little pockets of time just for you.
